    '58 270 Hp

    On page 46 of the 4th Edition of the 1958-60 Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide it states
    that "*270 horsepower engine not available in 1958 until about 1/20/58." Could someone please tell me how "about"
    is defined. What is the wiggle room allowed prior to 1/20/58?

      Guess I'll give this another try. How about the perspective of those of you who judge. How much leeway would you allow on a build date prior to 1/20/1958 on a 270 hp 1958 engine? The judging guide states these engines started to surface about 1/20/1958. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

                  My '58 270hp assembly date is Jan 23rd as per vin number.
