Thermostat housing question

Hi,

I have some questions on the thermostat housing (water neck) for a C2 engine block. I ordered a new set of 1965 correct bolts for this part but now the bolts are to long!?

We compared the thermostat housing of my 65 car with the one of my friends 63 and found no difference. Can I assume that a 63 is different then a 65?

Oh yes, the code on the thermostat housing of my car is GM 3827866 B1

Michael -- I'm gonna make a wild guess here and say that the bolt supplier has given you the lengths required for the 3827869 (... not 866) for a '65 L78 with the aluminum spacer, instead of the bolts for the SAME thermostat housing # used on '65's with cast iron manifolds, and NO spacer. However, it's been so long since I've owned a '65 L75 that I could be way off base .

As Wayne said, look for Part number 3827369 across the top and suitable bolts for same.
