    Dash adhesive?

I am just about ready to put the dash back in my 66 and was looking for advice on what to bond the center dash and transmission tunnel with. Leaning toward epoxy of some type.
    Thanks,
    Pete

    Re: Dash adhesive?

i use axson apf 7, but just about anything will work in this low stress area, jb weld, or any kind of bonding adhesive you have around, make sure you have the shifter console handy so you can double check the clearance,

      Re: Dash adhesive?

      Hi Peter,

I used Eckler's bonding adhesive when I put my '65's dash back in. I left the factory adhesive in place as a guide for exact placement of the dash. I like bonding adhesive for the job since it would be more forgiving to your dash if you needed to remove it again. Epoxy may be too permanent.

Anyway, I plan to use bonding adhesive on the '66's dash when I put her back together.

Dave Walters of Walter's Engineering, Miami FL. sells correct black anodized rivets for the side tabs. Some vendors sell painted rivets. Not sure of LI or Paragon.

      Take care,
      Mike
