I am installing a new dash pad on 1961. When I try to replace the speaker cover bezel, it looks like I have to "notch out" around each post that goes through the dash pad. Is that correct? Seems like a strange thing to have to do!

Re: '61 Speaker Cover
Also, paragon videos on you tube helps to know what goes first. Right now, I am waiting for the dash housing screws before I can finish the dash on the driver side. Then work some more on the left side. The dash insert seems to be harder to fit properly. I know the grab bar is a delicate situation. I chose to not put the grab bar brackets on until I know the dash housing and dash insert is in place.
Then mark where the left grab bar goes then carefully cut the slit. I was told to tape the ends so it does not tear when putting the dash back on.
From there it is making the right slit taking off once more and then clean up the underneath the dash. Hopefully, this is correct.- Top

Re: '61 Speaker Cover
For the past few years I have been stocking up on interior parts from Al Knoch for my '61 at Carlisle.
So far I have purchased dash pad, carpet, brought in my seats for them to refinish after I took care of the frames, and this year I picked up door panels.
I will be moving on to the interior shortly and this way I have most of the big ticket items ready to go. The other advantage is they offer a discount at the show.
Regards,
Dennis- Top
