68 427 Clutch Housing Cover Bolts

Anybody know what size and length these bolts are suppose to be? Mine are all missing.

These are special bolts of 3/8-16 X about 1". You must use these special bolts for this application. They are available from GM but I'm 3,000 miles from home right now and I can't recall the part number. However, I recommend you buy ARP bolts for this application. You get them in a 6 bolt kitt and they are the best.

Exactly what bolts are you looking for? there are three possibilities, the bolts that attach the clutch to the flywheel, which are the ones Joe has discussed, also there are the bolts to attach the bellhousing to the back of the engine, and also the bolts used to attach the metal cover to close out the opening in the lower half of the bellhousing. Which ones are we talking about?

If it's the sheet metal lower inspection cover, I think those are indented hex-head 1/4"-20 x 3/8" with a captured star washer.
