I'm putting my 70 back together and have an old, in the original faded package, NOS Rocker panel for the driver side. I set it up against the body and it fits like a glove. Now, somewhere in my many moves the other side was lost so everyone around Atlanta sells them in pairs only. I figure no real big deal I can sell the NOS one for more than half of what a pair would cost and not get too hurt. Well, the repro's are a tad bit off and other companies seem to be getting their repros from the same vendor.
The problem comes at the back of the panel where it bends down. I laid the original that fits against the repros (at several shops too by the way) and the bend starts just a little early is about three degrees shallow so, with those two differences combined it will line up fine at each end (length ok) and all the back from the front to the back bend but creates a gap at that bend of at least 5/8" which looks awful and completely unacceptable by any standard. Anyone run into that problem and know of a supplier that has them made right?
