Help on exhaust clamps

I put a new repro exhaust system on from Corvette Central, along with NOS exhaust tips on my '73 LS4.

Problem is the clamps I bought from Paragon (part # 2587K) to attach the exhaust tips are too short. They barely fit over the pipe, much less the exhaust tip which slides over the pipe. I called Paragon and they claim they're correct. They measure 3 7/16" from top to bottom. Does anyone make a longer u-bolt with the correct flattened bend?

Like a lot of parts, I'm sure many vendors get them from the same supplier. Anyone order a set that worked?

They probably make one part and it is for clamping a pipe. You have the pipe, exhaust tip,and the thickness of the bracket. I take a torch and get them red hot an flatten them out myself. The right size pipe in a heavy vice it's a small job. What do others think of the ends on the sheet metal part?

Try Gardner Exhaust Systems, I just bought a system for my 69 and everything was perfect including the clamps.

Thanks. I looked on their website and they have a clamp that appears to be correct. I'll call them Monday to see how long it is.

I called Gardner today and they make exactly what I need, flattened u-bolt open face clamp 4" long. There's only one problem, they don't sell hardware individually, I'd have to buy their whole exhaust system .
I also called Corvette Central, where I got the exhaust system, and they only have universal clamps.
Anyone else know of a source for correct clamps that are long enough?

This is one of those small things that drives me nuts. Or in this case, bolts.

I checked the Paragon clamps I have, no go, identical to size you already have, sorry.
