FI fuel meter screw retention--ideas welcome

John D, Jerry B, and others--what method do you use to repair a fuel meter housing when the screws that retain it to the upper bracket no longer will catch any threads? I'm doing a 7360 unit, but I'm pretty sure whatever fix you use would be effective across the board.

Mike, I always used heli coils of the appropriate size in the fuel meter, worked great.

Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!

Yep, I've installed more than my share of helicoils in fuel meters. Those will be 10-32. I have also had to install a few helicoils in the forward part of the fuel meter for the main diaphragm cover. Those are 8-32.
I've even had to install 2-3 on the back side of fuel meters for the hi-pres pump screws.
The threads in die cast fuel meters seem to pull out more frequently than those on sand cast fuel meters.
          ZERO problems doing this.
