I just bought a 64 Roadster and it pulls hard left, I'm going to rebuild my wheel cylinders, the car sat a lot, and wasn't driven much. I looked in Paragons parts catalogue. They say not an original part and may not be good for NCRS judging. I don't know what you can see to identify, BUT where or what should I buy to look correct don't care to give away points if I don't have to

Re: wheel cylinder kits for 64
You can buy brand name new wheel cylinders or repair kits from any auto parts store - no need to buy from a Corvette parts supplier as they just buy and resell what's available in the aftermarket.
Only a little of the wheel cylinder can be seen in judging - just the inside where the brake line connects and the bleed valve, but I'm not sure what, if any, differences there are.

Don:
I assume that you were looking at new wheel cylinders as well as rebuild kits. The rebuild kits only vary on the outside with the dust boot, if there is any noticable difference at all.
Buy the repairs kits from your favorite parts store and rebuild your originals. It's an easy job if you haven't done it before. I've seen people use emory cloth to smooth the bore but I use a small drill operated cylinder hone.

Re: wheel cylinder kits for 64
As an alternative, if the cylinders in the car are Originals as determined by the casting numbers, you can pick up a set of replacements and use them to drive the car, and then send the originals out to be resleeved (many posts in the archives on this). Replace the resleeved originals when you have the time and you will be good for a long time to come...Bill Clupper #618- Top
