It was uneventful,but a long haul from S.W. Florida. This is my first and the place is huge. If it takes up the whole facility it will be bigger than Carlisle. I am really looking forward to it. Will try and keep everyone posted.Good luck to all who are having thier cars judged.

Any year it stays below 100 is a "good" Bloomington event.

We'll be taking Dad's 09....Toyota Avalon.

I thought about taking the 08 Vette but since heavy rains last weekend our road is covered with water. Not going to get the Vette out for a while.

Gee, I plan on taking my '08 to St. Charles tomorrow, but I don't expect too many congratulations for that trip..

It will be a long trip for me. Way too much rush hour traffic.

My son Brian will be there tomorrow (Thursday) with his family. Believe you met him at the winter meet here in Orlando back in January. He'll probably be checking out the couple of 78 P.C.'s that Mecum has in the auction and plying the swap area. He has a beef with the fellow that repaired his CB antenna which ended up destroyed.

Hope you have fun and enjoy my old stomping grounds. I can't count the number of times I've been to the Dinner Playhouse there - in fact I don't know if it is still there anymore.

I'll have a lot more miles on the '08 after the Road Tour to California and back.

One of these years I just might bring the 1970 back to Bloomington -- now that it is so close. It made the McClean County Fairgrounds a number of times, and Springfield State Fairgrounds at least once. I drove it to Springfield when it made Benchmark -- or was that the County Fairgrounds -- I forget now. I'm thinking the County Fairgrounds. The guys had a lot of fun writing in the exhaust stains that were left on the rear bumpers from the trip down I-55.

Time to go do more research on the certification cars for Friday.
