Hey All ...

Is it possibe to remove the side cover while the tranny is still attached?

I am having a leak issue from the seals for the shifting forks.

Yes, it's very possible and, with the cover off, it's very easy to replace the seals.

Like Joe said, but don't have it in neutral (which would seem logical). It needs to be in second gear (rear shift lever in forward position).

Since the forks are worn in, I would mark them to preserve the exact orientation going back in.
