Metro LI Chapter Meet pics

Sunday 5/31 was Metro Long Island Chapter Meet at Mack Pontiac/GMC. 18 cars were judged, 8 of them being C3's.

I know what this plate meant. Yes, that's a ZR-2!




Beautiful 15K mile Collector's Edition...

Since I have a '73 myself, I stayed on this '73 the whole day as an Observer Judge for Interior, Exterior, Mechanical and Chassis...



I showed my '73 big block in the Sportsman display...



Plenty of other cars on display...




And last, but certainly not least, the 100th Corvette ever built!

Excellent pictures.

It's nice to see some pictures of C3's. I love the C2's but they are a little over exposed some times.

William, what was your opinion of being an observer judge?, Did you learn anything about your car that you didn't know before?, It seems like a great way to help out and at the same time pick up valuable knowledge.

My only other experience with NCRS Flight Judging was as an owner, when I had my '73 judged at the chapter meet. I was curious to see what it was like from the other side. Usually, as an Observer Judge, you'd be assigned to Exterior, Interior, Mechanical or Chassis and move from car to car in the respective class with those same 2 judges. However, since one of the cars was a '73, the Team Leader allowed me to stay on that one car for the whole meet. I really enjoyed that, since the 73's are my particular interest. On a number of occasions, I was actually able to help the judges with the knowledge I've gained from my own '73 survivor. It was nice to have a small part in seeing the owner, John, receive a Top Flight!

yup it was a great day and the weather cooperated.. That was my friends Green 73 that Top Flighted.. He did all the work himself and with friends from our local club.. We're all very happy for him.. The big blocks that were there were just stunning, especially that ZR2..
