    My Baby's Got New Treads

Here's my 67 vert with her new properly date-coded original DC rallys and the whitewall Bias Plys. I absolutely love the look on the ermine white car. For me, that is the way my car should look. Just never warmed up to the look of the bolt-ons and redlines. The car seems to handle just fine with the bias plys. I'm thinking of trying them out on some wet roads this week - heard lots of horror stories and want to see if they are true. They held the road just fine on the back roads of Ohio for well over an hour. Car felt great!

    Kirk,
I agree, LOOKS SHARP!! The whitewalls and Ralleys really set it off. I'm looking for a set of Ralleys and redlines for my 67 Marlboro Maroon.

Be careful on wet roads. In the late 60s I spun around a few times. Only radials for me. Night and day with handling of bias-ply and radials. You have too nice of a looking car to take chances, unless you have access to a skid pad.

I spun my 63 several times as well with bias plys. The first time was many years ago coming off an exit ramp from a freeway - one of those with an ever tightening radius. Went off in the dirt and broke the rear spring. Believe most of the problem was in getting used to independent suspension rear, but a little traction would have been nice. So, my advice; don't push it like you would with radials. The combination can be very unforgiving.

Nah don't be a *****, go out in the rain and find it's limits, just don't break anything or anyone. I always try and find the limits on all my cars so I know how far I can push it before I end up in the weeds or into the front of oncoming traffic. Stewy

Columbus, Ohio. I was driving back home to St Clairsville on Route 22 to Cadiz and then Route 9 to Ohio.

Don't worry. It will be a very controlled testing. I'm past needing a testosterone rush to prove I'm a man Besides, I don't want to die!

I like your wsw tires on Ralleys also. Looks sharp and a lot brighter. Did you get my email with pictures of the A/C heater hose clamp? Dale
