hey paul, its funny but according to the black book fourth digit in the vin should be a six for a vert. a three would be for a coupe unless i am reading it wrong.

David, you're correct, it's indeed a six. I guess I needed to look at the VIN a little closer instead of the dealer sale estimates which say "convertible.

I'm checking the VIN just like checking a lottery ticket... C'mon C'mon C'mon... DOH! Oh well, it's just not my lucky day.

Sorry for the confusion here, but after I decoded the POP, it looks like the person who priced out 365 HP roadsters ended up going with a 300 horse 4spd coupe. Again, I was looking at the sales estimates when I should have been looking at the POP.

On the subject of P-o-P's, there's a spirited discussion over on Corvette Forum (aren't they all ? ) on the plate mentioned by Paul G. above, on what $$$ should be asked to reunite with current owner.

Here's one I got off eBay; '65 convertible # 14904; Nassau blue / bright blue vinyl, L79 with 3.55 posi.
