No slit on the 65 radio tag and it is installed behind the tuner knob.

That figures i had mine and read in the corvette central catalog that they were slit in 65 so i slit mine , well i guess i buy another one, seems like i do everything twice.

Do you have to remove the set screw on the knob to install and remove it ?

Yes, without the slit you have to remove the knob to install.
