The last three digits are a 365. What date are you looking for? I have one for a '59 that I thought was for a '58 until I cleaned it up. The date code would be for a late '59. If I remember correctly it's an early June '59 bellhousing.
Thanks for your reply Ted- I'm looking for one for my '59 #5366 (built in March 1959 if memory serves). However, as long as it's the '59 part number I'd be happy.
I'd read that there was in fact a 365 part number out there, but read that that number was specific to cars up to 1958. I'd seen that the part number 3742257 was "supposed" to be correct for '59, but I'm just trying to find some closure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I found the below link in the archives- upon reading it, would it be safe to conclude then that the part # bellhousing I have is correct? I do not believe my car was an FI car, and definitely did not have a 348 engine in it (obviously).
My 59 is #5823 (3/26/59 build), please let me know if you come across any engine/trans/rear/ parts that you can't use or have duplicates of, etc. but would work for me. I'm presently looking for a correct block/short block/complete engine for my car. It currently has a 63 283 in it.
Thanks
Steve
Steve, you may get a stronger response if you start your own thread with the items you need for your '59. Good luck and I will let you know if I come across what we discussed.
