Should there be any sealant between the windshield trim and the body/gasket? It appears to be called out in the assembly manual but incorrect for the JG.

I don't have a '66 JG, but St. Louis (and A.O. Smith) LOADED that "trench" between the rubber seal and the body opening with over a pound of gooey sealer before installing the reveal moldings. Dealers complained constantly about customer complaints about it oozing out from under the moldings.
