69 T-Top rear channel weather seal

What is the weather seal that goes into the channel at the rear area of a '69 T-Top car? Is it 3m strip caulk? Also, what is the best way to get the caulk up into the forward area of the channel where the chrome t-top meets the fiberglass body? Thanks...Don

When I replaced the top front windshield frame on my 70 coupe I used 3M strip chaulk to replace the original sealant installing the t-top trim. Holds up well, this was about 20 years ago.

Re: 69 T-Top rear channel weather seal

I have a water leak at the rear of my T-tops into the interior. My plan is to clean up the the small amount of old sealer that I can see in the rear channel and place some 3M strip caulk up into the gap. I want to perform this without removing the chrome T-Top assembly. Does this sound feasible? Thanks....Don

        Hi Don,
Here's a couple of pictures of the center SS trim and the sealant on the birdcage and body. You can see the sealer in the gap between the chrome and SS trim and the body.
        I hope this helps you.
        Regards,
        Alan
