Re: 1967 radial tire size ?

    I got nothing but time!

In the meantime I keep driving with an old radial in the tub and hoping I don't get a flat. Whoever my passenger would have to ride with the fat 215 in their lap while we drive to get it fixed! :-)

    Thanks Chris and good luck.

Well thanks to all of you knowledgeable Vette-Heads, I have realized that I need the longer 10 1/2 inch bolts to allow my lid to close and my lock to function. I have had NO LUCK in trying to locate a pair at ANY price. Does anyone out there know where they can be purchased ? ? Your assistance is GREATLY appreciated.................Joe

Be sure to bring your wallet when you go to buy those bolts. Last time I checked they were really expensive.

If you do go this route, I'd sure appreciate if you would post a picture of what the tub looks like with the tire installed. I'm curious to see how far the lid hangs down with the long bolt and the 205 in the tub. I run 215s and have thought about trying the long bolts but have hesitated experimenting at that price. Please be sure to share what you find.

                Thanks in advance.
Mike , since u say u run 215 s , have u had any tire rubbing at all . thanks

Del - I've had great luck with these 215 Pirelli's. I have had absolutely no rubbing on the fiberglass, front or rear, with theses tires. I remember some folks saying there was some minor rubbing on the frame rail in front but I can't say that I've noticed any of that. Of course I do not have a pristine show car so I'm not sure if I'd see it on the frame rails. I do know that I've not felt it at all through the steering wheel. I ABSOLUTELY love these Pirelli's. They are great.

                  Cheers
                  Mike
