The 69 style side exhaust I bought used to put on my 70 Corvette coupe in 1974 were actually first installed on a 65 Corvette in Dallas,TX. Have never seen that again.
The system was all 1969, later when I replaced the side exhaust mufflers obtained from GM they were the same exhaust design as the used set I bought. Both were unlike what is shown being installed on the 70 LT-1.
Liked the look even better when I replaced all the chrome pieces that attach to the insulated covers.
