I have a 1975 coupe. The vin is 1Z37J5S414869. The stamp pad on the engine has two sets of numbers. The first set looks like 15S414869 and the second set is VO203CHA in a larger font. Sorry I don't have a picture at this time. The pad is very clear, does this sound correct? The engine has never been touched since I have owned the car, I am the third owner. Thanks for any comments.

Re: VIN question
Thanks Tom. Yes, it is a base motor 4 speed. I was not sure of the 1 in the first set of numbers, thought it should be a J like the vin. Everything seems original, but I am a novice. The second set means February 3, 1975, right?- Top

Re: VIN question
Yep ! Feb of 75 would be correct. That is the assembly date of your engine. The casting date may be earlier. Your car was also built in the month of February.Tom Hendricks
