    Coil Capacitor Picture

Can someone post a picture of a coil capacitor attached to the coil bracket on a 68. I have an L36 427. I bought a coil capacitor from DocRebuild listed as correct for 63-67 and a replacement for 68-74 (I think). Anyway, I searched the archives and could find no such picture of the capacitor actually mounted to the coil bracket and I'm not sure that the attaching point for the 63-67 capacitor is even similar to what is supposed to be on my 68 (although I am sure the capacitor will function just the same). The capacitor I have from DocRebuild has its attaching point at the very bottom of the capacitor, and I'm not sure how that will work with my coil bracket. Thanks for any replies.

Capacitor is Delco Remy 1947452. There's a separate, slide-on, mounting band. It fastens the cap to the coil holding bracket.

Crack open your copy of the '68 AIM book and turn to the options sections in the back where the radio is called out. You ought to see good drawings of the various 'hush up' capacitors that went with the optional radio along with how/where they were installed.

Jack, thanks for the response. I did reference the AIM but I'm not sure I looked at the U69 (I think that's it) radio option. I'll have a look tonight.
