    1970 - 1100900 pulley diameter?

Hello all. Seeking some help. I was fortunate enough to find a 1100900 alternator core for my 1970 LS5, 4-speed, no power anything.

The core has a 3-1/4" dia, machined pulley, deep groove (I think). Is this the correct pulley for my application? I believe the core has never been opened, but the pulley can always be another story.

The date on the alternator is 9M23 (Dec. 23, 1969), and my car was built the first week of June 1970. Given the scarcity of this alternator, I hope I can squeak in within the 6 month TIM&JG date rule. The back plate has the raised rectangle under the "Delco-Remy," the raised boss for the ground, and the 7 fins.

I was planning to drop it off to John Pirkle this weekend at Kissimmee for a rebuild, and wanted to make sure I have my ducks in a row. Although, I'm sure John will have the answers to my questions on the spot. Thanks.

    Marc,
    I've got a 70 LS5 as well. June 2, #10918. How close to yours?
Mine has A/C so I think the alternator is a 1100884. The last digit is worn off by a wrench rubbing on that spot. I'm not sure if it is exactly like the 1100900 or not. The pulley diameter on mine looks closer to 3 inches.
    Don't know if this helps.

Your application originally used pulley GM #3846180. This pulley is "officially" 3-3/64" OD. It's long-since GM discontinued but available in reproduction. It's a single groove, machined steel pulley.

          Richard,
Thanks for the input. I agree your application is 1100884. My car is #10723. The body date is May 29th, but all info I've read says my car was assembled in June, possibly June 1(?) since yours was June 2nd. I believe the pulley dia for mine should be closer to yours 3-3/64". Thanks.
