was that the one with the four speed shifter with the lockout lever? I may be wrong but I thought that started around 58

1959 actually. A lot of these cars have easy to spot on tv incorrect items. I guess that's why you need to be there if you are looking to bid.

Look for one of the 18 Corvettes with the NCRS Award Confirmation certificates. Those 18 are the ones that have been through the NCRS Judging system and had their awards confirmed through the National Judging Office and are the only ones allowed to state "NCRS" in their catalogue entries and promotional material. Saw lots of claims; i.e. "NCRS Ready", "Restored to NCRS Standards", etc. B-J was requesting those Corvettes to remove their references to NCRS. Was told that yesterday afternoon/evening the Speed Channel announcements explained about NCRS and the Award Confirmation sticker/letter. Gary....

If that is he red car that I saw under the staging tent sometime around Noon, it had a VIN of 8XX, to early for a 4spd. It may have even began life as PG.
