I am looking at a 64 coupe what is the correct color of the seat belts if the interior is red and white with white vinyl seats.

'Saw an original '64 convertible in '64 white with red/white vinyl and it had red belts. 'Terry's dad got it for him as a graduation present!

What does the NCRS Bible say and others?

Thanks Steven. some say red and some say white, I recently saw a top flight 64 with white seats and white belts thats why i asked. I am waiting on the judging guide to come in the mail.

64 Judging Manual says:

"1964 seat belts were either red, black, saddle, dark blue, white, or silver in color coordinated with the carpet color except white interior cars which have white webbing."

I'd say white.

Mine are white! Mar64 black with black/white interior (white seats) and original belts.

i,ve had a several of two tone interior cars over the years and the seat belts were the same color as the seats on all of them

Woooops!!! I just read what I typed and it isn't what I thought I typed or what I thought! Make sense?

I meant white belts. It was white exterior, red instrument panel and carpet, white vinyl seats and door panels and WHITE BELTS. I should proof read.

It was a great car with 300 HP, 4 speed, 3.36 posi, AM/FM, both tops, white soft top, white walls.

Let me read what I typed again---yep, white belts.
