Did the 1960 production year use only the #7017320 units for high horse power cars or was this unit introduced during the 1960 production run. If introduced during the 1960 production run, what is the approximate date of introduction.
Thanks for any information!

Ray, Look in the NCRS pocket spec guide. Also the judging manual. Note that there was also some left over 59 units used up on a few 60's. See the post a few days ago on the 7017300 FI units.
A few early 60's used the 7017250 FI unit (they are very rare) and a few early 60's used the 7017300 FI units. Both are HHP.
As far as the exact date for the 7017320 units I can't answer that. I will have to tell you the truth though. I have NEVER restored a 60 FI unit for a customer who had a 7017250 FI unit. But I have restored maybe two 70017300 units years ago that were on early 60's.
Meanwhile if you already have the 7017230 unit go with it. I don't think you will get any slack for using it.
You didn't ask but here is one for you. The 7017250 unit and the 7017320 unit is the same deal except for the plenums. The 7250 uses a left over 58-59 finned plenum. The 7320 uses the flat top plenum. They use the identical fuel meter and air meter. Well almost identical. I can spot a fake 7250 in a second. Not saying how though.
