I want to install new mirror glass in my rear view mirror. It has a gray rubber trim around the outside. What is the best way to remove this? It is on there pretty tight, and I don't want to destroy it trying to remove it. Thanks, Mark

I put the mirror under some very hot water. When the gray rubber becomes soft you will be able to work a small putty knife under the mirror. Be careful not to scuff the rubber! The mirror will most likely be stuck to the rubber on the back side. Wear gloves (stuff will be hot) safety glasses and go slow. The mirror should pop right out. The rubber may come off of the stainless, that's ok just super glue it back on after you have installed the new mirror in the rubber.
Hope this helps
