Hello, I'm a new member and I'd like to know what is the correct finish and color for the back side of rear quarter panels for a 1964 coupe. Mine has two different finishes and colors and was wondering if points would be deducted because of this?

Re: 64 rear quarters
Hi Leonard, do you mean 2 different body colors on the back side? Maybe from a repaint or a donor fender/repair? The correct 'finish' would be, in this order: undercoat, primer, body color, blackout. This was all done when the body was still off the frame, look up blackout and under coat in the archives, lots of info there! Have a White Castle for me!

Re: 64 rear quarters
Right, Dan. Good explanation of the wheel well application, I am also not clear on just which surface is being referenced.
If the question is the inside natural Fiberglas finish, then yes, there would be deductions for anything other than the "White Glass".
