early 56 corvettes in the works

    Hi all,

I do not post very often, but thought I would just ask if there are currently any other members who are in the middle of doing an early under ser. # 400 1956 corvette. It would be nice to share ideas and findings. Never have enough information about the early cars. Hope this gets some response. Later Mike Anderson (317)729-2418

I like early 56 , made like no other later 56 and which many 55 parts were carried over like the Radiator (5) piece shrouding, Heater assy, and one of a kind exshaust manifolds, Generator support ,plug wire brackets and so on.
Hope you connect with some one .

I just acquired '56 #1371, 371st carbuilt. Very bare, but at last I can show you what's underneath all the "stuff" easily. I am very interested in how yours is made up, being 29 cars away from mine.

I am planning a "mid-century" Super Sport replica, but need many of the original items as well.

Michael, Bert Lukens (1901) just finished a '56 with VIN below 200. It was at the Bend Regional this fall. Bert's a Member of the TDB so if you have questions you can send him an e-mail. Also, Dave Ferguson is very familiar with the <210 VIN '56's. By the way does yours have riveted or dog bone welded wheels on it? Gary....

              Gary,
The wheels are not here at the house. They are in Ill. with the body getting painted. I believe they are welded but will have to check. Thanks Mike
