Neat item, Roy. I've never seen one or heard of them before. Tell us more...
How is this typically installed? Is the "Put Me On The Dipstick" tag left on or torn off? If left on, how is it oriented? It's left on and you just clean it , a guy would just attach it on the handle loop.
Was the tag an industry-wide practice (like the later adhesive stickers and today's static cling held vinyl stickers), or just limited to AC and GM? I think AC supplied them to dealers that used thier items
What time period would tags like these have been used? I dont know for sure 50's 60's ???
Regards,
Louis
There just a neat little item to set the engine area different.
I've seen them sell on e-bay for as much as $100.00 each but now and then you can find them cheaper
I'm just nuts about 50's dealer accessories and AC stuff,
