1966 Seat Belt Retractor

Can some please tell me the correct installation orientation for the seat belt retractors. I had installed mine per the orange instruction tag that attaches to it, and I thought I was in good shape. Then I see a recent article in the Restorer that shows them installed rotated 180 deg. The article shows the "hindge" to be facing the rear of the belt, whereas the tag shows it facing the front. I know the roller faces outward, the article agrees with that. It's just whether the hindge goes toward the front or back. Which is correct?

You are correct. I'll have to speak to Vinnie Peters as to what the protocol is for a correction in a future issue of The Restorer.
