Re: Another Craigslist scam
Why do you think this is a scam? It does seem a little low but the fact that it's a "64" and the state of the economy, it's not that far off. All the recent scams were "67 435 HP roadsters" for $4900. AND they don't leave a contact number.Last edited by Jim D.; September 24, 2008, 09:54 PM.- Top

Re: Another Craigslist scam
Jim, You're right, it could be legit BUT with an original window sticker, Bloomington Certification and other paperwork it sure doesn't sound like a $18,000 midyear. Contact number with no area code. Plus, a member on the CF e-mailed the guy and apparently the response indicated SCAM. But then again he didn't offer free shipping. Shooter- Top

Re: Another Craigslist scam
If indeed the car was once Bloomington Certified, it sure isn't any more. One need only look at the underhood photo to see evidence of that, i.e. chrome valve covers, large aftermarket or late C-2 air cleaner, no ignition shielding, etc. At best it's a nice driver and, of course, the 64 does have the softest values in the market for C-2's. The stretch may be in the documentation claims.
