CI 283 timeing question

    CI 283 timeing question

    If my rotor is pointing at #1 wire and the damper is at TDC
    is the # 1 piston at TDC ?

    You have to know the specific position of the valves (intake vs. exhaust cycle) to guarantee that! You can be 180 degrees off with only the information you supplied...

      That was the reason for my question, being 180* off.
      Am pulling valve cover again. It's a Fuelie and it ain't no fun....

        Jerry, Pull the right cover instead. If both intake & exhaust on cyl #6 are loose you are at TDC on #6. Bill
