    New member with a question.

Good afternoon everyone. It's a pleasure to be here, and unfortunetly I need some help already. I just got a '73 with a 4 speed. It had been sitting in somebodies driveway for 11 years, so to say there are some rust issue's is an understatement. I'm trying to get the brake pedal and clutch pedal assembly out. I need to replace the bushings and spring on the shaft because after you hit the brake pedal it doesn't come back all the way and the brake lights stay on. My problem is, I'm trying to remove the pin and clip that hold the master cylinder clevis onto the brake pedal. The clip came off, no problem. In my manual it shows the pin as being removable, but I'd swear it's welded in place. I've tried vice grips, hammer and chisel, and just plain beating the heck out of it. But, it will not budge. I've also drownd it in WD-40. Any suggestions??

try PB blaster or kroil penetrating oil instead of WD-40 if it is rusted in place
