Craig, The owner's kit folder that contained the pin, jacket patch, ID card and congratulatory letter were sent out by Chevrolet Motor Division. There was a good article on this topic in the Restorer in 1986 (Volume 12 Number 4). It was written by Alan Severson and discussed the owner's kits from 1957 until they were discontinued in 1973. I believe the pins were deleted from the kits after 1966. Good luck, Jim

Jim, how can one find a copy of that particular article? Thanks.
Dan, the CV-1 Costume Emblem or Tie Holder pins do not have "owner" below the outside circle of the emblem like the Owner pins do. Mine's in a display, but the matching cufflink backs have the GBM 10K marking on them. Gordon B. Miller in Cincinnati made all of the Corvette Owner pins and jewelry as far as I know. Gary....
Ya learn something every day. I don't know if I ever noticed that. If I did I'd forgoten. Thanks Gary.
Gentelmen, what years were the owners pin given to the new owner when they purchased a Corvette? Where they given or did they have to be purchased? As I have only seen a few I am just interested in this fo rmy own education. Many Thanks.

they must have been given because back then if they cost money i would not have 3 of them. spent all my spare $$$ on racing tires.

John, Below is a post of mine from the 2005 archives:
"The pins widely accepted as those included in the Owner's Kits had "10KDP" and "M1/5" stamped on the back. I've seen others stamped "GBM&CO 10K". I was told by someone very knowledgeable about these Kits that the pins stamped "GBM&CO" were those ordered directly from the Gordon B. Miller Company, the official supplier of Corvette gifts and accessories."
I've owned both types (M1/5 10KDP and GBM&CO) and the clasp was the same reading BALLOU REG'D on its face. From what I've learned, although the owner kits were available from 1957 to 1973, the pins were only included from 1957 until 1966. I hope this information helps. Jim
M. Craig my wife still has her 64 owners pin and Corvette patch that has not been used. It has the same location and information that Clem mentioned in his post.
Jim, thanks for the info. Do you still by chance have your original owners packet from GM? If so could you tell me what they included in the packet? Items such as pin,patch...etc. More importantly did Gordon Miller and Co send you one of their gift catalogs? Trying to determine when they stopped sending these out.
Thanks so much,
Craig
PS: If you can I would love to see a picture of the original envelope that the items were sent in...
M. Craig she has no owner packets, all that is remaining from the 64 purchase are the owners pin, Corvette patch, and the Corvette Owners Card. Do have a scene on film of her red 64 convertible with a white soft top.
Craig,
I have several of these order brochures, but, a little foggy as to how I go them.
I seem to remember receiving them periodically in the mail.
They may have been included in with the CN each year or so.
I did order some extra stuff, so, perhaps I was on Miller's mailing list.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
