    Owners Pin ?

If any of you out there have your original owners lapel pin not one you may have purchased after the fact can you please tell me what is stamped into the back of the pin? Lots of these floating around out there and I am trying to decide if these are the real deal or ones that were reproduced in 10kt in the early 80's. Pictures are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Craig W.

The eBay pin looks real to me but the stamp on the back has the G.B. Miller Co. stamp with the hallmark.

I had a quick look at some of the pins I have that came with Owners Kits and the hallmark is stamped lower or farther from the center and they do not have the Miller Cinncinati stamp.

            Same with mine Clem.

Of note, early Owners Kits I posses include a pamphlet from the Gordon B. Miller Co. advertising accessories and gifts. The first item in the pamphlet and on the price list included in the 4 page brochure is a pin they call "Costume Emblem or Tie Holder". price is $4.75 for the 10 karat version or $2.75 for the Gold Filled version.

I wonder if those stamped G B MIller Cinncimati could be the pins purchased From Miller through the Owners Kit brochure?

I don't reacll but it could be that these pins and accessories were available throught a notice in the early "CORVETTE NEWS". I haven't looked through them in some time so I don't remember. But it wouldn't surprice me.

Dan, the CV-1 Costume Emblem or Tie Holder pins do not have "owner" below the outside circle of the emblem like the Owner pins do. Mine's in a display, but the matching cufflink backs have the GBM 10K marking on them. Gordon B. Miller in Cincinnati made all of the Corvette Owner pins and jewelry as far as I know. Gary....

                Re: Owners Pin ?

Does anyone have a picture of the G B Miller accessory catalog that was included with these owners kits? Also could it have been that the C1 kits used the pin with the GBM stamp while the C2's used the M1/5 stamp that was described on this thread? I have what I think might be an original pin that has the second stamp and I was told only the originals ones used the GBM stamp. All help is appreciated.

                Cheers,
                Craig

Craig, the tie tack/lapel pins from the catalogs DO NOT HAVE an "Owner" banner on the lower lip like the ones doe from the Owner's kit. Was unaware of the 2 different engravings on the back. Send Howard Baker and/or Dave Strickland an e-mail requesting confirmation of which pin is correct for '64. Can tell you for sure that the pins from the GBM catalog are not the same as an Owner's pin. Wish I wasn't out of photo space so I could post a photo for you. Gary....

Ok, here goes nothing. Scanned copies of my original G. B. Miller Accessories catalog mailed out June 7, 1963 to the original owner of a 1963 swc F.I. that I purchased in the 80's.

Jim, were these in the actual owners packet or was it mailed by Gordon Miller and Co?
