78 odometer and trip meter

the speedodmeter has neve been right and odmeter has not worked since I have had the car, with Joe's help I purchased the right gear and replaced the seedo cable. Now the speed is right, the odmeter works but only the tenths work on the trip meter, is it possible to fix it without replacing the whole guage?

No, you must replace the entire trip meter.

found a place to rebuild th speedo for $90 is that reasonable? brass bushings metal gears, and new trip meter.

That's the kind of rate our local speedo shop in Denver (LONG time United-Delco dealer) gets for a speedo/tach repair including final calibration on an original AC-Delco machine. Note: his jobs simply make the instrument work properly and do NOT include cosmetic refurb like face plate silk screening...
