I'm coming across inconsistency (among published sources) in regards to the assembly date code on the Borg Warner T10 produced from 1974 through 1981.
The code is stamped in the format of WH2042 with the last digit reported as either distinguishing wide ratio (1) versus close ratio (2) as in the The 73-74 and 75-77 tech guides. Other sources (Colvin) report this as the assembly plant shift.
Personally, I like the wide ratio vs close ratio interpretation but curious how others have distinguished B/W 4-speeds to determine whether its an M20 or M21.
