    N-11 Off Road Exhaust

Is Allen's aluminized exhaust system the best available option to go with on a car intended for NCRS judging? How does it compare to Gardner's exhaust? Thank you in advance for your inputs.

The bends shown in Gardner's ads are very close to the original style. Allen's and most of the other repro systems have bends that leave the "shoe" marks from the bender, similar to your friendly neighborhood muffler shop.

I'm also looking to purchase a N-11 system for a L-79 '67 coupe I just purchased. I recently purchased the Gardner system for my '70 RS Z28 and the system is top shelf! Great sound, great fit and just like the factory system.

I'm wondering is anyone has purchased the Gardner system yet? Would love to hear what they think...

Currently Gardner doesn't have the N-11 mufflers and they are looking for an old one to duplicate. So if someone has one, please contact them.

Gardner also currently doesn't offer a welded system, so I assume to be correct you would have to weld the muffler to the itermediate pipe after fitting, etc.

Based on my experience with Gardner regarding my Z28 system I will buy the Gardner system. They are great people to work with and offer great customer service IMO.

The early OE systems were not aluminized - plain uncoated steel, so you will take a deduct if your year did not use aluminized pipes, which, I believe, started sometime in the seventies.
