Finally, I got my 63 on the road after some electrical issues. Since I purcashed the car in Feb, I haven't had much time to drive it. I took it out last night and going around a sharp corner, I heard this clunk sound along with some rubbing sound, primarily from the left rear.
When I put my redone posi differential back in my car, it made an awful clunking going around corners and sounded like the axle was not in properly and was trying to come out. I could actually feel the bumping in addition to just hearing it. This is because the fluid needs time to get everywhere it is supposed to go.
Make sure that you have the proper amount of fluid in your differential. Then take your car to a parking lot somewhere and do some some circle eights. This and just driving it will help and it shouldn't be long till you have no more issues.
