Putting my 69 back together and have two different style spindle supports. The one I bleieve is correct is Prt# 382084311 dated 1-3-9 below GM 15. The other one is 348103 NF, K-7-8, GM1. Can someone verify the first is correct? Would I use this prt # for both sides? Also what is the second?
Thanks,
Rick

Rick----
The GM casting #3820843 is the correct one for a 1969. Both sides use the same casting number although the finished PART numbers are different for each side. The finished part numbers appear nowhere on the piece, though. The only difference is in the machining for the shock mount shaft involving the orientation of the flat. The "D" shaped hole on the rear of the fork is oriented in opposite directions.
The GM casting #348103 is a 1975-82 support. These became SERVICE for 63-74 models when the earlier parts were discontinued. The only significant difference between the 64-74 supports and the 75-82 is the size of the boss on the lower end of the forks.
