    1960 Transmission question

I have been looking for a T-10 transmission for my car. The one I located has casting stamps that are the same day or preceed my assembly by 4 days.

Is this being judged and if so would the date being too close be a deduction ? If a deduction how many points would I lose ?

These transmissions seem to be tricky to find.

Typically, trans dates are not judged however an occasional Chassis judge is small enough to get under the car and look, in which case "all's fair". If you are looking at four days from the case, side cover, or tailhousing date to the final assembly date of the car, that doesn't leave much time for machining, assembly, or transportation to St Louis. Unless the price is exceedingly good, I'd keep looking.

In cases where scoring deductions are NOT mentioned as 'guidelines' in the Judging Guide book or defined in the Judging Reference Manual, club policy is to uniformly assign 20% or the available originality points to Finish, Date, Installation, Configuration and Completeness....
