Help! Original starter motor rebuilt, reinstalled, wiring checked 5 times,
however, when ignition switch turned on starter does not turn over. Amp.
meter shows negative discharge.
James, Double check that the small black ground wire is in fact grounded to the starter bolt and not hooked to the starter solenoid (battery terminal) bolt. This wire grounds the blower motor and wiper motor and has a large terminal that can be mistaken for a power wire and attached to the solenoid.
