1977 Corvette Interior and AC Compressor Verification

Hello,

I'm considering buying a 1977 Corvette that's in pieces for next to nothing and would like to verify if the components below are correct for this year:

Currently, what's left of the interior is silver so I would like to know if silver interior was an option for 1977.

Should a 1977 Corvette have a long style compressor like the older Corvettes?

Should a 1977 Corvette be equipped with a dual snorkel air cleaner?

I don't think silver interior was offered in 77. AC compressor would be the short style and I believe the air cleaner should be a single snorkle.

Thanks for the info. I think this is a 1977 Corvette but I have not looked at the title yet to confirm. Do you know up to what year used the long compressor? Also, can you tell me what digit in the serial number indicates the year? In addition, I would be interested in knowing what other info the serial number can give me such as engine size etc...

The interior color may be smoked grey that was offered.

The 6th digit in the VIN is the year and the 5th digit is the engine code. The L is for L48 engine and X is for L82 engine. 1Z37L7S denotes a 1977 with L48 engine.

I believe the long compressor was phased out by mid year of the 76 model.
