    ignition key

I'm trying to replace the ingnition key and female end, I think you take a small rod and stick it in the hole, but then do what? I'm lost. I turn it and nothing happens. Am i missing a step?

    Re: ignition key

If you are referring to the ignition lockset, I did this just yesterday to confirm the key code stamped on the side of the lockset.
Insert the ignition key, turn left to Accessory, press a paper clip, or equivalent into the hole to release the catch, jiggle and pull, the assembly should come right out.

WOW, I never really measured, but, not far, maybe 1/8" - 3/16's of an inch.
If farther, you may be missing the small tab that you want to depress.

Turn to accessory, insert paper clip to depress spring-loaded plunger, then continue turning counter-clockwise and the cylinder will pop right out.
