Joe ! You are the man when it comes to numbers
Yes 49 to 54 truck gas gauge sender is the same as 53 to 55 Corvette original design and all ,I just for got the years , I buy these NOS on e-bay now and then ( I try to stay away from the word Corvette) usely sell for $30.00 , just wonted to pass this on to 53-55 guys here.

Roy, will other 0-30 ohm units work? I believe my fuel tank is a later year anyway, it has a vent tube on the top. What are major differences in the tanks?

        Thanks,

Later tanks have baffles to keep the gas from splashing Side to side. You can use a 56 up sender that will work with your gas gauge block off the sender gas out let if using a 55 tank or use any 56 up tank and sender in your 55.
In other words you can mix tanks , gas gauge or senders and it will work with your 12V Corvette.
