After 10 months of looking I finally found a 71 . I hope to get it in two weeks. I just wanted to thank those who have helped me in my quest. I passed on several cars thanks to the sound advice of some NCRS members who were kind enough to help me. I was very close to buying several cars, including a Ontario Orange 71 which I really did not like. I am the impulsive guy! Everyone told me to keep looking until I found a car I really liked. Thanks for keeping me in check! I appreciate all your help. Thanks, Joe DeLuca

Re: Finally! .... Thanks
Joe, a pilot buddy of mine in Texas just purchased his first Corvette which it happens to be a 71 as well. From what he explained it was a two owner car that has been under wraps for nearly 25 years. Original 454 car with I think 360HP. Needs a paint job and the black leather interior is in great shape compared to the exterior. He paid $6500. Seeing as I know very little about C3's did he do okay? Good luck and enjoy.
Cheers,

I'm the original owner of a 71 Coupe, 350/270, 4 speed. I'd love to hear about your car and see some pictures.!!!
I'm glad you're on the Board.

Thanks for your responses. I hope to get the car sometime next week. It is a 71 convertable, small block, 4speed, power steering, power brakes, power windows and a/c. It is red with black leather interior. I will try to post some pictures when I get it. Joe DeLuca- Top

Re: Finally! .... Thanks
Mark, I think you have me confused with Joe Lucia. Though we are both great guys, he is much more knowledgeable than I. I have way more questions than answers. I too am greatful that we have people like him to help us.Last edited by Joe D.; May 18, 2008, 07:15 PM.- Top
