I found a gas pedal at Carlisle moulded with part number 3777523. Guy insists it came out of his original '62 Chevy passenger car. Only reference I can find to this part number is an auto parts site in Argentina. They carry that part number for a gas pedal for a Chevrolet 400. No referece to any model years. Anybody know what a Chevrolet 400 was in Argentina?
I know the old dealer parts catalogs I have for Corvettes and Chevrolets show (at Gr. 3.451) the same gas pedal for 58-62 Corvettes and 58-63 passenger cars. That is part number 3820328. I believe that part number is the service replacement part number.
I believe the correct part number for 58-62 Corvettes is 3760271. That's what the AIM shows.
So, I guess my questions are:
1. What is 3777523?
2. What is the correct part number for the gas pedal for 58-62 Corvettes?
3. How does 3820328 differ?
4. If 3777523 is the correct part number for 58-63 Chevy passenger cars, how does it differ from the correct Corvette one (3760271)?
