Trying to understand the operation of the wiper override switch (round knob under the steering column) and the wiper override light in the bezel above the radio. The motor is not running at the moment and can't test the operations. Need to button up the dash soon and don't want to get the wiring wrong.
There is a single black wire coming to the bulb in the bezel light and the bulb seems to be grounded to the bezel itself. There is nothing in the AIM that we can find about the wiring for an April 68 build.
What are the circumstances for the dash light to illuminate ? Does it illuminate with the key in the "on" position and go off when the motor is started ? Does it go off automatically somehow or must the switch under the steering column be used to turn it off ?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
