I noticed that the left turn signal indicator light in the dash panel stays dim without flashing. Neither of the outside turn lights, light. With the parking lights on both the front and rear lights work, so I know it's not a bulb out. I put in a new flasher, which is usually what causes this problem, but still not working. The right side works fine. This is on a '58. Any quick fixes?
Thanks,
Jim
There are two separate filaments in the bulb, one for parking lights, the other for the turn signal; look at the bulb, it sounds like the filament for the turn signal is burnt-out; that would cause the flasher to not work as there will be insufficient current draw.
Albert,
As I emailed you, went right out and damned if you were'nt right on! I never even thought about the possibility of two elements in the bulb. Got a pack of 10 just in case it happens again, or to the other side or rear.
Thanks again,
Jim
